About The Role
We are currently recruiting an Internal Auditor to join the UK Internal Audit & Compliance team with primary focus on branch based operational audits. The UK team are part of the wider European Internal Audit & compliance team, and the role will include regular interaction with the European team. The successful applicant will work with business leaders and finance to support a robust control environment and culture.The role ‘s responsibility requires working closely with functions and disciplines across the organization to ensure compliance. The Internal Auditor will report to the Senior Manager Internal Audit & Compliance.
What You´ll Be Doing
Working closely with the UK Branch Operational team and European Internal Audit & Compliance team, the role will include the following:
Plan & conduct individual branch audits to quality and time requirements
Develop an understanding of business processes and identify key risks
Obtain, analyse, and appraise evidentiary information as a basis for an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of branch processes
Draft reports and provide regular updates to management
Liaise with management to agree and follow up on recommendations that arise from branch visit
Monitoring agreed actions through to completion and providing regular updates highlighting any delays or concerns
Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance, proactively engaging with the business to drive best practise
Involvement in ad hoc projects as required
What You´ll Need
Enthusiastic individual that is keen to learn and continue their personal development and encourage positive change across the business
Minimum of 3 years audit experience in either a finance or operational audit capacity
Team player, who is keen to build relationships with colleagues across operational and finance teams
Ability to compile, analyse and review data to a high level of accuracy
Commercially focused.
Excellent time-management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise own work to tight deadlines
Full conversant with MS office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience of working with multiple ERP systems
Experience in use of Audit Board tool desirable
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Automotive industry experience would be beneficial
Willingness to undertake significant amount travel throughout UK & Ireland
Effective communication skills, both written and verbally
A full UK drivers’ licence
