Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Advisor to manage the full recruitment lifecycle, balancing agency partnerships and direct hire strategies within our logistics network. Based at our Rotherham National Distribution Centre (NDC) you will be responsible for the recruitment of our Driver and Warehouse Operatives along with our First Line and Operation Managers. These roles will either be based at the NDC in Rotherham or in the regional distribution centres.

You will oversee the sourcing, selection, and onboarding of talent, while also managing relationships with recruitment agencies. This role requires strong organisational and interpersonal skills to ensure hiring needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively. This role will also work closely with the onsite trainer for induction of new starters.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Hiring:

  • Develop and execute direct sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, and talent databases.

  • Manage the candidate experience from application to onboarding.

Agency Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for recruitment agencies.

  • Negotiate contracts and monitor agency performance to ensure quality hires and compliance.

Recruitment Strategy:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and recruitment plans

  • Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and report on performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Streamline recruitment workflows, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

  • Innovate recruitment practices to attract high-quality candidates.

Talent Pipeline Development:

  • Build and maintain a talent pool for future hiring needs.

  • Leverage market insights to advise on competitive compensation and hiring trends.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in recruitment (in-house or agency).

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment platforms and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

  • Understanding of employment best practices.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
